The change makers at The California Endowment are on a mission to build a culture of belonging, where all people — no matter their origin and orientation, background or belief — can be seen, heard, and affirmed for who they are.

Raygun began partnering with The California Endowment in 2020 to design a series of media campaigns supporting their vision of a California for All.
Over the span of four years I worked on five distinct campaigns centering various aspects of belonging — identity, inclusiveness, housing justice, voting rights, and the immigrant experience.

Our design team was involved in many facets of the creative process — campaign strategy, digital design for social media and marketing, and design and production of print assets, including large scale billboards and wallscapes. We also collaborated with photographers and a video production team, among other talented creatives.

Through these campaigns The California Endowment provided a platform for individuals to share their personal stories and unique perspectives on belonging. ‘We Belong in California’ has helped to uplift and amplify the voices of many who have historically been marginalized and excluded.
